Shouldn't there be some form of punishment for a buisness man (agent) who is part of an illegal deal?

You'd think so - otherwise calling it illegal is somewhat pointless.

Norwich don't even need him. Have a few in that position

Maybe we could take Hoolahan off them

Not the real one
It's possible he still might sign, Norwich have had all summer to sign him, but IMO are signing him as a preventive tactic to stop us having a better chance at promotion. Pritchard won't be playing all the time at Norwich. But if he signs for them, because they can offer double wages and he'll be in and out of the side, it will say a good bit about his character. Having sat about at Tottenham last season, he either doesn't mind doing that, or will sign for us, play matches and have a good chance at being in the PL next year.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Spurs gave us permission to talk to him circa £8mil, as they never gave permission to Norwich, can they tell them it's £10mil? (as an example)

Doesn't sound like he'll fit in with our #togetherness if he's behaving like this anyway.

He's got more chance of regular football with us than Norwich. Haven't given up hope until he signs for them.

That would be our major card in trying to salvage this deal. Whilst we will not be able to offer instant pay bonanza that Norwich can we maybe able to offer him more in terms of footballing opportunity. This is afterall a player who has barely kicked a ball since his move from Brentford, if he is a major part of Hughton's plans then that may appeal more to him (if he cares about his career) than just being an opportunistic afterthought for Norwich who are just splashing the cash.

Let's say for instance we were to offer him a three year deal at 20k a week ( with substantial promotion clauses in the deal) then that's £3m at least, not as much as Norwich but hardly chicken feed for a player with his best years in front of him.

If he'd rather just take the Canary cash then so be it, we'd be better off without and we move on to the next target.

Can't wait to hear what hollow words he spouts as he's pictured holding up a Norwich shirt, having apparently agreed terms with us I'll be keen to hear exactly what compelling reasons he gives for reneging on the deal and deciding to go to Norwich? If hex admits they offered a better deal then he might command little respect but you just know it will be the usual, "great club, fantastic opportunity, as soon as I knew they were interested, felt like the right move" bullsh1t.

CH won't be signing Wes Hoolahan - Your forgetting the stand off over his proposed move to Villa a couple of years ago

It goes on at every club

It is shit and it shouldnt happen but it does.

Exactly.

Illegal in this instance will just mean they made a call to the agent setting out what wages they’d pay, without first agreeing a fee with Spurs, and being granted permission to talk to him.

i.e. completely standard transfer shenanigans.

It's frustrating but we put to much stock in our love for our club.

If you were a postman in Brighton earning £500 a week and got offered the chance to work in Hove for £675 a week you'd agree to do it. Then if, at the last minute, Saltdean Post Office said they were hiring postman for £1500 a week I think we'd all be tempted!!

It's their job.

LOL back to 4-4-2.

Weird as means Hoolahan or him will be on the bench on 30K a week.

Agent wins, deal gets close, he goes to the press, bigger team comes in and wins. Hopefully picks up an injury :glare:

If it's how he wants to play CH could do worse than dropping Knocky in to play off Murray or Hemed. He has the attributes

Talk on twitter of a player having a medical at Lancing right now... Trying to find out more and trying to see if this is factual or speculation...

Seen that, also talk on twitter appears fans having an absolute melt down over a footballer. If he signs, brilliant. If he doesn't, just move on.
