LOL! I'm just relieved that the injury crisis got him out of there! But seriously, don't you get frustrated by all these promising players who aren't even good enough to be in an 18 man match day squad?

Frustrating though isn't it the way the transfer windows operate now. Assuming he signs - and is instantly deemd first team starting material - it kind of negates all the hogwash of pre-season preparation. Will a couple of training sessions and a bus ride to the Midlands enable him to understand the way Albion want to play - in potentially one of toughest games of the season - Derby away.

In the best way it works perfectly and he is instrumental in securing a hard fought 1-0 away win - worst case the team looks disjointed for a few weeks while players get to know each other. The beauty of football I suppose - it can always surprise you.

More to do with the ridiculously long season we have meaning 4-5 games played before transfer window closes. Reduce to 22 teams as per old Div 2 and would be less of an issue.

Wages likely to be a small factor other things at play like contract length, bonuses, sell on clauses in terms of fees at which he could talk to other clubs

Albion hope to complete the signing tomorrow of Tottenham's Alex Pritchard.

The Seagulls are in advanced talks with the 23-year-old attacking midfielder and his agent after agreeing a club record fee with Spurs.

Lengthy negotiations ended tonight with a deal yet to be finalised.

Reminds me of the 'Lewis Grabbon' deal..
Agent will keep his phone on overnight whilst they await counter offers.
There is no doubt the agent /spurs have leaked our offer as ee do business privately.
Look forward to offers from London coming in tomorrow as he clearly not been won over by us today.

That's the way i see it i'm afraid. This is nowhere near done

It's all over the news now something the club isn't keen on. Must be a concern for the club at not wrapping this up.

I have to agree. Lengthy negotiations and we haven't completed it yet? If it isn't announced by tomorrow evening he's had a better offer

The Argus makes it out that the negotiations went on all evening while Sky said in mid afternoon that we hope to complete the deal within 48 hrs.

If this isn't wrapped up by 5pm tomorrow then that is a worry.
