i guess it seems strange to us why a London based player would choose the hellhole of Burnley or Boro over our lovely city and facilities but it must be about game time. Difficult to see how he would get much with our current midfield.

Another moaning post.

There are three clubs supposedly in for him and so he won't go for two of them yet people moan if we don't get players (and you seem to be one of the worse at the moment).
We will have to wait until 11pm tomorrow to be sure, but I don't think there will any positive news. Hope I'm wrong of course.

But even if we don't make any more signings before tomorrow night, I'm still struggling to see anything to moan about. We're fourth in the league and have strengthened in January with Knockaert and Sidwell especially. I don't understand why there's a reason to moan.

I think Pritchard is an attacking midfielder rather than a winger. If so, he may have decided on Burnley because our system doesn't suit him so well and Middlesbrough have got so many options that he won't get first team football. It happens and it's not like he's signing permanently. He can probably put up with being in Burnley for a few months if it helps his development.

We know we have needed a striker since the summer and it looks like we won't get one this window either.

But without one, we're still fourth. Yes, it would be great to get a striker but I'm still confident we'll make the play offs without one. I'd far rather we kept money back for the summer rather than throw money away on a striker who is no better than we have now.

With LuaLua back, Wilson hopefully staying and Knockaert signed, I'm confident we'll be a threat going forward. We're never going to spend the money that Middlesbrough are on Rhodes and I'm quite glad we don't.

Think we may have to do with just Sidwell, Knockaert and Wilson being added over the winter with Kaz, Baldock, Bong, Huenemeierm, Greer, Bong and Rosenior coming back into contention for the second half of the season

We probably will, I agree. I don't see the wisdom in saving money for the next window though as it might cost us in not getting promoted. Not signing a striker makes promotion less likely.

But it's not a decision we've made. I imagine we're still looking for a striker and, if we don't get one, it will be because the right player isn't available at the right price. I think we all agree there's no point signing another striker of the quality we already have. There's no point. However, I'd be surprised if many fans want us to pay £10 million plus for Rhodes or McCormack. To me, that is a big risk.

So, it's not a case of wisdom. We've tried but maybe it's not worked out. I'm still hopeful that we'll bring someone in (at least until the club announce we're not going to do any more deals).

Can't see anything else inwards for us before 11pm tomorrow just loans out

According to FIFA, Approximately 65% of all deals done in the window happen on deadline day.

Let's not give up hope of signing a striker just yet.
