U23's need a right back so would think he's going in there for a couple of seasons before being released (am I being too cynical?).

If he has managed to get into the Plzen team, he is probably half decent, as they are top team in CZ rather than Sparta lately. Having said that, Plzen play in red and blue stripes, so on that basis, im out.

Czech champion Viktoria Pilsen is close to transfer to Premier League! Aleš Matějů has an agreement with Brighton, the newcomer to the English highest competition. A 21-year-old outfit should be signed by a three-year contract with the option in the club where the Czech midfielder Jiří Skalák is operating in the coming days. The transfer amount paid by Viktoria Pilsen should exceed 2.5 million euros (almost 66 million crowns).

After Martin Chrien, whom Viktoria sold to Benfica for 25 million crowns, the West Bohemian cadre most likely leaves another young player. Aleš Matějů took the English Brighton team, who puts the team in the Premier League season.

Matějů flew to England on Friday, where he is on medical examination. If this happens well, the transfer will be officially confirmed. Pilsen, after counting all the bonuses, should receive more than 2.5 million euros, ie over 66 million crowns.

Pribram is a promising Czech footballer and is a regular youth representative. In his participation in the June 21 Euro in Poland, he prevented him from injuring his muscle, and he started regularly in the successful qualifying under Vítězslav Lavička.

He joined Pilsen in June two years ago, along with other Příbram talent Jan Suchan. Over the course of time, he entered the basic set, he was one of the hardest members of West Bohemian eleven at the age of 20.

In the first match of the new season, 3rd Premier of the Champions League at FCSB (formerly Steaua Bucharest), did not hit Matějů, the right healed David Limbersky was on the right.

If it all comes down, the next start in Pilsen will not be added for some time and will try to be lucky in the toughest football league of the world where Brighton came after the Premiership.

The Czech midfielder Jiri Skalak is already working in Brighton, who joined the club in February 2016 from Mladá Boleslav. In the last season, he dropped out of the basic set and faced tremendous competition on his post.

Given the fee and how highly rated the article says he is I guess first team squad (although he wouldn't count towards the limit). Obviously it might be internet nonsense.

Arriving from the club with the beer can dugouts.

It's weird isn't it. Hadn't heard of them until yesterday. And a great stand :)

Two potential scenarios I haven't seen mentioned here;

Bruno is 37 in a few months. Mateju spends 6 months in the U-23's, whilst we check on his development. If Bruno doesn't cope, and Mateju looks the real deal then he steps up to the first team squad.

Rosenior is going to be utilised as a utility player, with Mateju being our second choice RB.
