It’s a cracking effort from the lad. He’s great at what he does and it was a surprise the highly rated Parker didn’t recognise getting the best out of him was the best chance they had. Be interesting to see how he gets on next year but you’d be surprised if he didn’t hit double figures. I’d love him at our club.

Fulham are going to do something incredible next season....and finally stay up. They've walked the league, haven't conceded many and have scored a hat full. It's a combination that means they're not going down.
I'll tell you who is...whoever comes up via the play offs.
That's far from a given. My Fulham supporting colleague is not nearly as confident. Just scoring goals in an inferior league is not an indication for the future. And as for running away with it, they have fewer points than Norwich did last year and can only finish 4 points behind last year's total if they win the final match. We finished our promotion season with 3 points more than their current total and so may have achieved a higher total whilst only finishing second. I am sure there are others....
You make good points. It'll be interesting to see how they do and I certainly wish them well.
You weren't to know though, my mate is a she lol.
I see the Beeb are saying that Fulham are looking at Gyokeres.
Apparently considering a £15m bid. Decent bit of business if Coventry sell.
They've walked the league in the sense they've been top two all season and have generally been miles clear. They haven't 'just scored goals in an inferior league'. If they score in their final game they'll have the record number of goals in a second tier season. Their defense is also conceding less than a goal a game.
All of those things point to a team more than capable of staying in the premier league. I'll be surprised if they don't. The only thing that I think will stop them still being a premier league team in 23/4 will be if they lose lots of players and recruit poorly. Which is, of course, possible.
I'd suggest your friend is having a classic football fan reaction. He's got their last two promotions fresh in his memory. He probably says something like 'it would be classic fulham to get relegated'. Many fans have that reaction. Remember NSC the season we got promoted? People were shitting the bed constantly in the second half of the season even though it was a)obvious to the naked eye we were going to get promoted and b) backed by the stats that we'd get promoted. People still trotted out it would be classic Brighton to fail to get promoted.
I was curious so had a little comparison of Mitrovic and Maupay in terms of PL goals / appearances:
Maupay: 26 goals in 100 appearances
Mitrovic: 24 goals in 104 appearances
I'm not sure that Mitrovic's fifth stint in the PL will be any different to the previous four to be honest.
He'll be a decent FPL option though, just in case.
We’ve already signed a slow old lump of a CF for some unknown reason in January.

Well I obviously hope so although from what I’ve seen I don’t think it will, miles away from Welbeck type quality. There's a danger that this comment will come back to bite.
