Aldershot Physio Jim Joyce to Brighton?

just been reading up on him seems experienced ! left yeovil last summer to move closer to his southampton home and has also been a physio at east fife,port vale and southampton

be great to have Jim im sure we will make him very welcome and not sing you ate all the pies when he comes running on with the magical sponge,I heard from a reliable source down the chippy that he was very good with the Yootha squad

Physiotherapist Jim Joyce is to leave the club today as he links up again with Russell Slade at Coca-Cola League One side Brighton and Hove Albion. It is the second time the Scotsman has worked with Slade as they previously worked together at Yeovil Town.
The former Southampton Physio told 'The Shots', "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Aldershot Town. It is a great club with so many good people involved. However the opportunity that has arisen for me is too good to turn down at this stage of my career. I am sad to be leaving but also excited about the new venture.
"At Brighton I will head a team pf physios whereas at Aldershot you are stretched because you have to cover first team, reserve and to a certain extent youth team too which means that you spread yourself thinly.
"I am pleased to say that the players are in a good bill of health especially after the difficulties towards the end of last season. We started pre-season training with just one illness. Aldershot have excellent training facilities which compare favourably with many clubs in higher divisions and a good squad of players too.
"I truly wish everybody well for the future. You never know too that as Brighton have a number of Friday evening matches that I will come down to watch some matches during the course of the season."
Manager Gary Waddock said, "I am really disappointed that Jim is leaving. He has been here for one season now and did a fantastic job for the club. We wish him well. He has taken the Physiotherapy department onto a different level with the experience that he brought to the club.
"We will all miss him because not only is he an excellent Physio but he is a top class fellow too but this is a wonderful opportunity for him and we couldn't stand in his way.
"We have advertised the position and for the interim period we will have a temporary Physio working with the lads. There will be a process and it will possibly take up to a month before a new appointment is made."
The boss also confirmed that there is a new acquisition to the backroom staff with the arrival of Conditioning Coach Sean Faulkner.
He added, "Sean will do some work with the players before we go onto the pitch and also in preparation in training. We have Russell Clash as a Fitness Coach and he does a fantastic job.
"These are two separate roles but should certainly improve the conditioning of the players which is important."

As it is on Aldershot's website and not ours does that mean we are going to announce a number of backroom changes all together this week or just that it is not confirmed yet/we were slow to put it up?

The argus have just announced that Godden has been made pernament goalkeeping coach...

Joyce will work alongside Paul Watson while Matt Miller concentrates on his role as fitness conditioner.
Meanwhile former West Bromwich and Chelsea star Tony Godden has been confirmed as the Seagulls' permanent goalkeeping coach.
