First Picture of You was a single.

By The Lotus Eaters.

Who had nothing whatsoever to do with The Icicle Works other than that both bands came from Liverpool.

They were formed out of the remnants of the Wild Swans, later became the equally wonderful Care, and eventually reformed as the Wild Swans in about 1987...

Girls at our Best - 'Pleasure'.

An absolutely superb album, but very rare - currently selling for 95 quid on amazon, and worth every penny (I only paid 50 quid for my copy).

Blimey. And that's for the CD version too.

I think I paid about 7.99 for my copy. :lolol: :clap2:

I must have sold my vinyl version for about 5 euros. That's probably worth a fortune now. Especially as I still had the original "Pleasure bag" that came with the first editions as a gimmick (it was just a little plastic carrier bag with a postcard of the band in it)

I had the 7" versions of Warm Girls, Politics, and Go For Gold as well. I think I gave them to Oxfam...

I've got the John Peel Sessions as 12" vinyl, where they play a section of several tracks of the album (including the 3 you mention), but with each seguing into the next. About 7 minutes worth.

It's brilliant, but unfortunately, has never been released on CD.

Because the way it's written on the sleeve - Nah=Poo - The Art of Bluff - to this day I can never stop myself calling it "Nah Equals Poo Minus the Art of Bluff".

Maybe it's just me...

Alexi Lalas had his own band 'The Grypsies' who were shit.

As far as I know he never had anything to do with the Spin Doctors [who co-incidentally, were also quite shit!]

(I was being facetious, earlier. Sorry)

I'm not having that.

The spin doctor's fella looks like a big GAYER.

Lalas, on the other hand is a big hairy GOD - an inspiration to gingers everywhere!
