I believe that going into our new stadium we need a badge we can feel proud of. Something that binds the club together and reflects our fine history. I don't think the current shield could ever do this properly, so I believe it's time for a change, a change back to our real badge, the round one.

Speaking to lots of other Albion fans, it's becoming clearer and clearer that many people would like to see a return of the much loved round badge. To those who say a roundel isn't 'modern' enough, I say to them, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich - some of the biggest clubs in the world have round badges, if it works for them it will definitely work for us.

I believe the refreshed round badge would be something we could all feel proud of, proud to wear and see up in lights outside Falmer.

Bellotti, Archer and Stanley are long gone... So can we now have our badge back please?

Do you agree? Please vote for either;
a) The round badge
b) The existing shield
c) Other

i just hope the club are willing to listen. i love the circle badge and would welcome returning to the old one, i just find the current badge very amateurish. like it was a rush job or something. it would be nice to change it before falmer.

I am in the minority of preferring the new badge logo to the round one. The round one does look pretty smart on the stadium photo you've done. Be nice to have one with the new logo to compare.....

P.S I'm very jealous of your Photoshop skills!

Well, this is the design you pretty much made before, then got appalled for the fact that any corporate changes would be made by the architects.

This is, in fact, a fixtures thread.

Don't get me wrong, the design is excellent.

Why so antagonistic? The designs are very good and it does no harm for the club to see what its customers like/want. Goodness knows they need some reminding at times because they don't always get it right and branding for Falmer is going to be massively important. At least he's made an effort whereas most of us just leave it to somebody else.

It's not intended as antagonism. The round badge evidently would be popular, and his designs are excellent - truly superb. As a graphic designer, I feel I can make a valid comment on that.

It's just that he posted the same thing on here a few months ago, and was told by the club said it had no plans to change the badge, and was appalled that any work undertaken would be done by KSS Architects.

I'm just wondering why he's raising this again now. That's all.

Sometimes the club needs its customers' opinions bought to its attention more than one time. Admittedly it is a small number of supporters compared to total Albion fans but I think it's representative of opinions in general. No harm in letting them know how we feel for a second time.

According to Attila, the Club will be using a poll on NSC to decide what beers will be offered at Falmer. So it is only reasonable to assume that a poll about badges on NSC will also dictate Club policy.
