We got a russian international!
Sergei was brilliant.
Kuipers is fast becoming one of the best keeps we have ever had IMHO.

Stefan Iovan never played that many games, but was a class above the defenders we had at the time and played an excellent sweeper role when we reached the play off final.

Sergei Gotsmanov although had a lot of time for John 'Rhodesian/Wales cross breed' Robinson.

Hans Kraay wins by a mile

A COMPLETE NUTTER

Juan Oblitas anyone ?????????????????

Seriously tho it has to Sergei.

His brain was two weeks in front of the rest of the team when it came to football.

And he'd played inthe European Championship Final in 1988 for the Soviet Union, not to mention being part of the best team in the 1986 World Cup

Has to be Gotsmanov for me - though I suspect my preference has as much to do with the fact that I was a 13 year old who had started watching the Albion in 1988. None of the championships we've won during my twenties can match my excitement at finding a picture of our new signing in my Mexico 86 panini sticker album...

and he scored against England in '84

I really do LOVE Kuipers, but the best player was undoubtedly Gotsmanov. He was absolutely superb.

Greatest contribution to the Albion is Kuipers, as Segei wasn't here long, but he was different gravy.

If overseas is born overseas, then how about John Robinson who i believe was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
