It's a form of advertising called retargeting. My company uses it and it's quite effective.

If you visit a website and don't buy, it will keep popping up until you do or a period of time (often 30 days) expires.

You now know what to say to people who say they keep being bombarded by porn adverts!

That's exactly it. If it's done well then you shouldn't see so many ads that you become overly aware. When it is done carelessly, you get what you have seen. Basically, BHA are getting poor support from their digital agency.

I don't think the Albion ads are targeted banner ads. I think as Cole said, they're retargeting based on you visiting the Seagulls.co.uk site.
