That Gerry 'one welly' Ryan goal was a pleasure to watch.....I loved the Godstone during those years... proper atmosphere, proper British football..... mind you, I hadn't remembered Lawro being quite so silky.....

The expectation of the crowd rose to almost 'fever pitch' whenever Ward received the ball.

Usually he delivered something very special.

Brings back great memories of the good old days as an 8 year old with my season ticket in the West Stand. Would love to see more of these old clips. Funny how we have such a wonderful stadium now but I'll always miss the buzz of a packed Goldstone Ground...!!
