Reasons it has sold a bit slowly

• Only announced on Wednesday people have plans.
• Limited to STH with high loyalty points
• It’s a Friendly
• But the big one will be fear of Covid.

It crossed my mind during lock down that what would happen to football if many fans realised they didn’t miss it and took up other hobbies, or realised they enjoyed spending time with their families? Even with a vaccine might football lose some fans during this extended period away from grounds?
Probably not but it did cross my mind and I remember shuddering at the thought!

Agreed - I can't wait to get back, but in my case looking after an elderly relative who's shielding and in the 'at risk' group for this forthcoming season I will refrain from attending even though I'm paying by DD for a seat I won't be able to use.

For all those who are going - enjoy the game - looking forward to hearing what people think of White, Lallana, and Veltman. Enjoy.

Those of us going will either be remembered as pioneers or like those who watched nuclear bomb tests whilst in their swimsuits and who suffered radiation issues 10yrs later

Just booked tickets in East Stand Upper for me and one of my 3 sons, two didn't want to go because of the restrictions

I think it will have an impact. I know a couple of STH who aren't keen on going as and when fans are allowed back to PL games. They are both still pretty scared of covid and, at the moment, dont like the idea of big crowds etc.

Can I change my response to "Yes, I'm going"? I'm a MyAlbion+ member and the handful of tickets left were opened up to us at 2pm. Got one (rest of family busy/didn't fancy it) albeit not in the best position but they were being snapped up. I'm in the South East corner...

Reasons I’m going:

It’s live football. I’ve missed it.
I’m looking forward to seeing some of our new signings.
I commend the club for being amongst the first venues in England to attempt a return and I feel that if I can I should support that. Media coverage will be fairly high.
This is a huge part of our social history. In years to come people will study the crowd pictures with as much interest and discussion as they do the black and white terrace photos from the early years at the Goldstone.
And finally, and I really really hope this is not the case, but this could be the only time we get to go and watch the team this side of Christmas. We just don’t know.

Oh and my car cleaning can wait until Bank Holiday Monday.

This covers it for me too. I was very sceptical I would go back pre vaccine only a few weeks ago but the lure of doing stuff is just too much. I think there is a calculated risk and it is higher given the numbers attending than vital trips to get food at supermarkets. I have this feeling we could go into lockdown again during the winter so I want to make the most of this current window of relative freedom

A while back the club made us all sign in to new accounts to combine everything under one online account. Did this include my albion digital? In anticipation of this afternoon's game I just went on the my albion tv page, and every time I try to play a video it takes me back to the menu page. Do I need to sugn up for my albion digital separately?

EDIT: It seems 'my albion digital' is the name of the account we all had to set up. So why aren't any of the videos playing?
