Congratulations to the youngsters who have been called into the England U-16 squad for two friendly matches in Italy on August 22nd and 24th.
He scored one goal in ten appearances for the U-18s last season.Harry Howell I believe is Son of Jamie Howell Bognor Manager. Lots of talk around him. I know he played a few games for the under 18s last season. A real prospect by all accounts.
Yep that’s correct. Jamie married Adam’s sister. Quite a bloodline there. Jamie played for England U16s, was on Arsenal’s books. He scored one goal in ten appearances for the U-18s last season.
I believe someone on here mentioned he was Jack Hinshelwood's cousin, so presumably Jamie Howell married Adam's sister (edit: or Adam married Jamie's sister, of course)?
But not Adam Brett the buff physioAlso, Albion U-16 Adam Brett is currently with the Wales U-17 squad for the Syrenki Cup Tournament in Poland.
He started in yesterday's match versus the hosts, earned a penalty in the 27th minute and played for an hour. Poland won 7-2.
Wales play Romania tomorrow and Georgia on Thursday.

Footnote to his footballing story was he scored a vital goal for Torquay v Hereford in 1997. Never got the credit for this it deserved!!
A link for the Italy v England U-16 match tomorrow, for anyone so inclined:-
I may have mis-remembered. It might have been an assist for a goal. A cross!Did he actually score against Hereford? He only made four appearances for Torquay (two starts, two as sub) and, according to this Torquay United historical site, he didn't score a goal - Torquay Fans Forum (maybe that's why he never got the credit!).
He might, however, have played a much bigger role in Albion's survival - after being released by Arsenal he trained with Albion in the summer of 1996 but wasn't offered a deal. He went to Portsmouth instead and was also on the books of Notts County in 1996-97 prior to his time at Torquay. He trained with Albion again in the summer of 1997 but failed to earn a contract.
...featuring a nice pic of our own Freddie Simmonds wearing the captain's armband, of course. Here's an Athletic article talking about these matches and how they reckon there were 170 scouts along to watch the matches!
