I think the problem with the team lies in the quote "I feel my performance has been quite good so far"

Kuipers said it in that article, players have been saying it over the last couple of months.

If it was good, then we wouldnt have won just 2 games in the last 14, sitting 1 point above the drop zone.

Once the players realise that they are not performing well, then maybe the season will pick up. Why praise your own performance when the team has been shocking? I guess the problem is, that no matter how bad you play, it is unlikely you get dropped as there is no "proper" competition for your position.

We have a great set of players, all who are under performing, but tiring them all out with extra training, going into the busiest time on the fixture list doesnt cry out too clever to me.

I think this sums up Adams' old school mentality. Things are not going well = extra running.

I would rather have someone who sat down with the players and tried to work on WHY things were going wrong...

Well quite obviously they do need extra training, because they haven't got a f***ing clue what to do out there on the pitch.

Obviously they need to do something, but loads of running and fitness exercises, I honestly dont think is the issue.

We seem to be able to score goals right to the death, it is just cutting out stupid mistakes which lead to conceeding unecessary goals.

Working on taking set pieces that involve crosses that go higher than the 1st defender would be a great start.

Defending set pieces would be another major issue, but running them into the ground, knackering them all out, going into the Christmas period is a bit stupid I think.

Im with Richie, a heart to heart talk with everyone, find what the players think is going wrong, and work from that

Sussex CCC did a similar thing and they turned their season from no hopers to staying up and winning the pro 40 out of no where

Will Forster room share with Murray for a bit of bonding?

Threatening to sack them all, might be the answer! But not very productive. :D

I'ts worrying that Murray and Forster seem to be having a dig at each other on a more regular basis. Maybe it's a personality issue that is affecting the team.

I don't know if it's just me, but Murray seems to be more interested in his game when Forster is not on the pitch with him.

Maybe a heart to heart is just what is needed.

I think his performance has been good so far. A few mistakes, of course, but that's what we should expect of third-tier players.

If he was only talking about himself, his comment was fine. If he was talking about all the team then that's not an accurate assessment of some of them...

I don't agree that we have a 'great' set of players. I have seen nothing to convince me of that and, of those who are new this year, how many of us saw them enough at their previous clubs to have an informed opinion of how good they were?

I know some have performed well on odd occasions, but do we know that they are capable of doing that consistently? Surely, one of the inherent qualities of lower-league players is their inconsistency - they can play well on occasions but simply don't have it in them to do so all the time. If they could play their best every game, they would be playing for superior, higher-paying clubs than us.

However, if you add 'interesting' team selection and tactics to the inconsistency, you have a bigger problem....

My issue is, how many players can go on believing they are playing well?

It is clear we are crap at the moment, and have been all season pretty much, yet players think they are playing well.

It is as if the whole team think "we did well apart from one or two things." It happens every game, not just one or two. If they realise they are playing crap then maybe they would do something about it.

All the time they think they are doing well, they wont change.

And how do you KNOW (to use your Sun inspired use of capitals) that he won't be doing that?

And why do you automatically assume he wont be doing this as well?
