Dean Wilkins is delighted to have his man. He said: "It may seem an underwhelming signing but it's all we can afford. He's clearly no Christiano Ronaldo because he played for Falkirk and if he was *that* good then it's fair to say that one of the old firm clubs would have SNAFFLED him before we'd even heard of him. That said, it's better than blooding one of the children in our ranks isn't it. Besides which, if he's half useful we might get to sell him soonish, which should cover the costs of his wages. I think our fans are going to like him, just don't expect instant promotion, that's all.

I wonder when people will cotton on to the fact the with all the far flung signings from Ireland and bonny Scotland, the reason there is so little money available to spend in the transfer market is that it has all gone on BL's expenses, airmiles and travel lodge bills

well done to all involved, I hope this is a player to partner Hammond rather than replace him. Having someone who was a former captain is also very valuable leadership. Two and a half years term seems fair as well.

I must say I am pleasantly surprised that we have signed the Captain of an SPL side who are 6th in the table, 3 points behind Mark McGhee's Motherwell. First team regular, he's played 20 games this season and only missed the last game because he was leaving. Hopefully he can do the business. Has anybody on here seen him play live?
