So Palace are a bigger club than Two Times European Champions Forest?
Are there attendances bigger? If so, yes, at least at the moment.

Hardly, wages is all that talks in football these days
One man's moaning is another's constructive criticism. You seem to lack a memory that goes back to our poor showing in the January transfer window. Enough evidence for me that DB and his cronies are failing.
Not really. We were poor in January and didn't have a great summer transfer window last year. Still worth seeing what we do rather than spending the summer moaning (or whatever you call it).
For all you know we may be on the verge of 3 or 4 signings. None of us know what's going on so why not wait and see?

Would you be really bothered about those things if you where a player?
I would imagine Money, chance of promotion, size of club would come first.
Size of club is a load of bollocks. Players don't give a crap whether they play for a club that won the European cup; what they care about is where the club is in the here and now, and how much money they can afford to pay them.
This .... We will miss out on most targets as we stick to our wage structure
Disagree - If you had Blackpool and Forest come in for you and they where offering the same - who would the player join?

Preston were a massive club once upon a time, are they still bigger than Palarse?Palace will never be as big a club as forest. They'll never have the history, trophies or fan base/support. It's the same as Leeds. As much as they are derided on here. In fact they are a big club.

The point is simply that there are other clubs with a greater chance of promotion than us. That one club made it last year without spending too much doesn't change that fact.More money I'm not arguing with. But greater chance of promotion is not the same thing. See Burnley for a fine example.
You misunderstood my post Beach. Someone said 'on what grounds', meaning 'on what basis', and I was just joking by saying 'the Amex and training'. Not my finest ever comedy I know, and of course I now regret the whole episode greatly.Really, do tell us what is the primary objective of a career that only tends to pay decent wages for around 20 years ?
Forest obviously, but that's the same wages, if Blackpool were offering double the vast majority, if not all would go there.
Money talks particularly in the "lower" leagues I imagine. When a player is making £100K a week £10 or £20 thousand here or there may not make a difference, even then I'm not sure
For those slagging off the club, or having sly digs, about its player wage structure .... there isn't an option.
The club's audited level of losses are now prohibited by the FL. Accordingly wages, by far the greatest cost is having to be reduced. There is no option, unless you want the club to face multi £m penalties and transfer embargoes.
We can freely talk about the recent PL clubs with parachute monies, like Fulham. Because of that, they have far greater club income than us for the moment, and so can probably outbid us on transfer fees and player wages, and there's nothing we can do about that.
