[Albion] Albion player's who never reached potential

Catching up on some great Albion content on their YouTube channel and seeing a piece on Jake Robinson, a player I admired when I was in my footballing teens, but sadly slipped down the leagues and never hit potential.

I'd like to know, what's everyone's choice that springs to mind when they're asked about a player(s) who never kicked on or reached their potential?

(As usual, sorry if this has been posted before, but I did have a look!)

Do players have their own World Heath Organisation with the ability to reach potential?

I seem to remember that Kevin McGarrigle had a few 'big' teams sniffing around when the broke into our first team/ got games by default because we were a bit rubbish.

There were rumours that he was going to Newcastle, ended up at Blyth Spartans.

Love the way we fans judge whether players reach their potential. We could look at it from a different angle and praise them for being good enough to sign pro and earn a decent living from? It’s all relative!

Uproar on here when he wasn't picked at 17, letters to the Argus......

Jake Robinson

I remember Jake once made the mistake of scoring a hat-trick in a first team game. Wilkins slapped him down and relegated him to the bench for the next game. That'll teach him not to get ideas above his station eh?

Abdul Razak.

Anyone who saw him against Ipswich will never forget how good he was that day. Could've been the next Yaya Toure but plays in the Swedish Second Division now!

Leon Knight.

Could have been a top Championship striker, at least, if he didn't have such a bizarrely terrible attitude.

True waste of talent, that.

Posted simultaneously! Yes, a truly appalling attitude (a wannabe Gangster) and waste of talent; became a journeyman who fell out with the managers of every team he played for.

Ended his footballing career as player-manager of North West Counties League First Division side Barnton.

His offensive Tweets and YouTube appearances show that he has not matured or mellowed with age.

THPP will be along soon to remind us that "Leon Knight, he's alright" :)

Can't remember his first name but Westcott looked really good for a couple of games around 99ish. Quick winger, never to be heard of again.

Darragh Ryan before his leg break at Peterborough

John Westcott, I believe. He was playing at the same time as Paul Armstrong who had 1 ROI u-21 cap which I found to be incredibly exciting.

Ryan Harley.

One brilliant free kick and then **** all. Wouldn't have had a career at all were it not for Exeter and the MK Dongs.

Rohan Ince - he looked the business in some initial EFL matches, a potential midfield boss.

Grant Hall - appeared to have it all as a CB. Imho, a lesson in not chasing the lure of a top 6 club, where’re it’s hard to usurp expensive internationals.

Will Hoskins - without injuries, I think he could’ve been a decent Championship striker.
