Blackwell, Rodger and now Piercy. This must be some sort of record. I can't ever remember three senior players retiring in the same season.

We've been a bit unlucky in that respect.

No. McGhee was very clear yesterday... no money to bring in striker.

:(

I thought he said not enough money to pay for a striker that would make a difference at this level, and we could not afford 99% of those available.

dont matter
We've lost 3 thru injury, Lee was released, Beck's contract runs out in 2 weeks and we still haven't got money to bring players in.
What's going on?

amounts to the same thing really doesn't it?

Well it could do, but it does suggest that there is some money available, with this little bit more being freed-up we may have a chance.

Didn't you get the begging letter? The club is potless and the board want their money out, not to put more in. :censored:

The only thing I find surprising is that people like you seem to be surprised. As soon as the dust settled over the play-offs the club were already making noises to the effect that Falmer is the priority and there wouldn't be loads of money for the team this season. Come July and we get yet another delay that will cost us who knows how many more hundreds of thousands of pounds and LO AND BEHOLD we are short of cash. The club have not exactly hidden this fact.

Just face it, the priority is (quite rightly) Falmer. If come May we have been relegated but have just been granted permission for a new stadium I for one will not be complaining.

But we've lost 3 senior pros - that's going to reduce the wage bill, isn't it?

Its a good job we got through to the playoffs, and the final, and won it, otherwise we really would be in the deep brown stuff. that little end of season bonus must have earned the club £100,000+
