Walking into the West Lower at 2.50 at the first game at the Amex (didn't even snatch a peek because I wanted the full unbridled effect of seeing the pitch and stands for the first time). Years of heroic struggle to get the thing built - with anticipation being fuelled by the excellent Jack Straw Friday photo-fests. Utterly awesome moment capped off by Buckley's winner. PL promotion ran it close too.

This,sitting in the seat I still sit in now, hearing and singing GOSBTS,very nearly a tearful momen t.

So many moments but beating Sheff Wed which was the moment I believed we would get to the premier league after everything that happened against then a few months earlier

Absolutely this.

It was after that game that I truly believed. Best game I’ve ever attended bar none. It was a nasty cold winter night, banging atmosphere and we won after everyone thought we’d blown it.

Pocognoli’s ball for our winner was the stuff of legend and all compounded by Hutchinson losing it and getting sent off just before the end.

Getting off the train at Boro before THAT “game” with Tony Bloom,..(he gave some ticketless lads tickets) who had travelled on the dreadful rattler with the rest of us.

Jesus Christ. Too many moments from the ketamine incident at Southend, ten lads squashed into a fiesta hairy encounters at Pompey and camaraderie at Orient.
