Danny Wilson (from memory) was our best scoring midfielder, I remember. Brian Horton was in a high scoring team and took more than half the penalties.

Most be the midfielder in the Bobby Smith Division Four Championship team? Wally Gould scored 17 in one season from the wing. Does that count? Jimmy Collins was a midfielder at that time.

I don't think the later Nobby Lawton scored enough though?

played in defense on many occasions as well and gained 2 promotions with the Albion.


Cannot accept Wally Gould as he was a definate winger.

9 years with the Albion. I remember him well from the Saward side as being a player who could do a little bit of everything.
