So, Mr Bloom is owed £272m.

Out of interest, bearing in mind that season ticket prices went up and the average 'gate' went up marginally, then why is matchday income down? One can assume people aren't spending as much at the concessions!

Matchday income was the same.

If we can recoup some money on Andone and Locadia then things should look better in 2019/20.

I like the way Bloom values Albion's role in the community because that guarantees a big fanbase, and similarly hiring a coach that tries to play an attractive brand of football should ensure people still come even if we should suffer a relegation. In that scenario even losing 4 or 5 of our star players we should still have a bloody good chance of bouncing straight back.

I expect some people are similar to me, in that I no longer buy any food at the Amex because I can't take water with me. I am NOT faffing with no bottle top.

I'm not sure if I've been lucky or they let them pass but I've taken water into every game this season, one of those sports top jobbies. Not once had an issue.

I'm not likely to buy alcohol in the daytime as that's not my thing, but I used to buy food every time, and now, nothing at all. All these small changes have an effect.

You cant bring your own water bottle? Sounds like that should be illegal according to some nice little UN convention somewhere.

I agree, but reckon we'd be lucky to get a tube of Pringles and a pack of Twiglets for Andone and Locadia now.

Why? They're both playing at a high level and scoring goals. AJ, now that's a different story.

Am I the only person depressed about this? Not just for the Albion, but football in general. Apart from a very very few no matter what a club earns it seems to overspend. Lower league clubs have incomes of about £500,000 and spend £550.000. Championship clubs have incomes of around £20 million and spend £22+ million. PL clubs have incomes of around 140 million and spend 150, 160, 170, whatever million. No matter what the figures are (and I've just picked those at random) clubs seem to overspend. The debts pile up as clubs try and satisfy their fanbases, and then when they get into trouble they blame the FA, the PL, Sky, Thatcher, anything and anyone but themselves.

We are lucky of course that we have a 'good' (and rich) owner, not someone who has breezed in, promised the earth to fans only too eager to believe everything they're told - and then bailed when they've found it impossible to deliver their promises. But even then relying on the goodwill and largesse of one man is not a good business model. What if TB falls under a bus and his family decide they don't want to maintain the commitment?
