We had half chances no one on ones or anything really clear cut. It’s obvious why build up is to slow and the side is seriously lacking pace.
Groß really the only player who had a decent sniff.
Other than that it was the same old 0.11 xg chances you get from playing our slow style.

Clear chances for Gross and Welbeck, the rest were half chances at best. I agree the build up play was much too slow, even Forest were able to press us well in the second half.

don't disagree that we lack pace but it's hard to make use of that when they have 11 men behind the ball. there seemed to be almost a reluctance to get the ball into the box at times last night, and when it did come in, there was either nobody there, or the effort was weak and tame. for someone who's movement is so good in the channels, welbeck really offers very little in terms of a presence in the penalty area. always marked by about three defenders, never gambles enough to get on the end of anything and often a very poor finisher. obviously that doesn't negate all the good he does, but it's going to keep costing us until it isn't
