I recall too that the Bournemouth match was packed, but when a police dog was set on their fans it was amazing how much room suddenly appeared on the east terrace.

The number of things I can't remember from 50 years ago just grows and grows ..............!

My first ever Albion game at the Goldstone, last game of the 1994 season Vs Port Vale who won 3-1 to clinch promotion.

Did you go to the Newcastle match 1979 , there were Brighton fans all over

I was in with the Newcastle fans and I think I had company.

1988 vs Bristol Rovers, promotion behind Sunderland secured with a win. Premature invasion when the ref blew for offside but Garry Nelson raised his arms as he thought it was full time. Stands started to empty, realised it wasn’t the end of the match so everyone retreated about as far as the cinder track around the edge of the pitch. Ref blew for full time pretty quickly after that.

Long before Dunk was born, Kevin Bremner stripped to his pants that day, by trophy hunting Albion fans.

The Sheffield United one was a bit unsavoury, and sadly the same day as the Bradford fire

Watching from the NS I can still remember clearly the corner flag being hoisted high by their fans and somebody trying to escape over the fence back to the ES being pulled down and left motionless on the pitch.

My recollections are,by the time the NS had reached the halfway line
The BR fans that had been congregated behind the South Stand goal,had made a hasty retreat to the SW corner exits
