I’ve got a feeling now that we’ll take a £15m Nunez style striker rather than a £25m Watkins or £35m Edouard.

I’m not sure we’ll be splashing the cash in this Covid era, part exchanges are our best bet for top talent I believe.

All of those mentioned would give us a different option to Maupay or a good partner for him, I'd be happy to see any of those 3 join

Another Holroyd?

Another no.

I really think that he’d hit 20+ at Celtic, the Championship might be more of a challenge for him. But with a decent set-piece specialist, this lad would score a good few headed goals in any league.

* Warning. Some of the defending and goal keeping in this clip could trick you into thinking you’d score half a dozen in this league, you’d certainly be able to compete with Toney’s daft goal celebration dances.

3 things from this:
He knows how to finish
He can take a penalty
League one defending is bloody awful. I think I’d get 10+ at that level, if someone could wheel me up front.

Kind of my thoughts, sure he can finish, but those goals were not against a PL defence or Keeper.

Northern Hemisphere.
That’s one, hardly a conveyor belt of strikers as implied

I actually thought we were quite good for strikers in our Withdean days. Didn't Nicky Forster (40 goals in 90 odd games) then come in for Knight?
Then didn't we sign Glenn Murray and then not too soon later, Ashley Barnes?

That's not a bad conveyor belt of strikers to say the least! Infact the strikers we managed to get in the lower leagues were outstanding!

Ps didn't even Henderson have a brief spell in the Prem?

No, I don’t think we’re signing Toney.

Peterborough are great at showcasing Strikers but surely this fella needs to prove his worth at a high level before we bite.

However, I think his final destination will have a big impact on our transfer window. If Celtic get him, Edouard is clearly for sale in this window, if Brentford get him, Watkins will be leaving pretty quickly, if Leeds get him............

Not sure the Scottish league is any better than League One.

We DO NOT need another McFail
But .... but ..... but .... we're relegated already if we don't sign a shiny new striker. Everybody knows that! Even if he costs £20M (he doesn't have to be worth £20M, so long as Uncle Tony forks out £20M).

We're entitled, FFS!

Why the pathetic dig at the CORRECT posters on here who recognise we are weak up front? What happens if Maupay gets injured? Is it worth investing £20m if it maximises the chances of staying up thereby avoiding losing well over £100m a season? Are you PB’s poster boy?
