With the new season almost upon us, I wanted to let you know about the exciting brand new online game the club has launched for its supporters – a game which offers you the chance to win a pair of 2008/09 season tickets and lots of other fun prizes.

The club’s official website seagulls.co.uk has teamed up with Brighton-based company Silent Manager – experts in online gaming – and radio station Juice 107.2 to bring you Albion Fantasy Football.

The rules are very similar to fantasy games you may have played in the past, with one unique twist: you must select three Albion players in your team.

It’s the first online fantasy football game that allows you to pick Albion players in your team alongside Premiership stars – and I’m sure that this will create a huge amount of interest (not to mention competition) amongst our fans.

There will also be a local celebrities’ league: which will include some of the Albion players (and yes they can pick themselves); while you too can set up your own special sub leagues for work, school, family and/or friends – but everyone who enters will appear in the main league table, and have the chance of winning some great prizes.

In addition to the two season tickets on offer, there will also be a manager of the month prize for whoever collects the most points for each month of the season - plus some fun spot prizes; while whoever ends up with the wooden spoon in the celebrity league will face a charity forfeit.

It’s free to play – or you can choose to pay a one-off £5 entry to give you greater flexibility in the fantasy transfer market.
