Driving through a small French town in Brittany, with the family, I suddenly heard shouts of `Seagulls Seagulls` from one of the bars. A sharp eyed member of a group holidaying Albion fans had spotted my BHA number plate and suddenly Benodet was alive with Albion chants.

By the seaside in West Somerset
Hong Kong in January geting off the Star Ferry at Tsim Sha Tsui but I couldn't catch up with him to say hello.
In a Wallmart in DeKalb about 60 miles west of Chicago. Turned out to be an American who collects sports shirts from around the world - he just happened to be wearing the stripes that particular day. I had flown from Manchester to O'Hare sitting, by pure chance, next to a seagull who I was at school with 40 years previously and hadn't seen since so it was a memorable trip.

Way out west
Met a couple from Brighton in the rest hut on the final climb to the summit of Mt Kinabalu in Sabah...though none of us were wearing the stripes at the time as it was absolutely freezing.

At the time of the Hereford game I was living in Canada, after the final score I popped out to the supermarket (wearing my great escape shirt) and bumped into another Englishman in the carpark who told me his dad was an Albion fan, he had guessed from my cheery disposition that the result had gone in our favour.

In Cervinia, Italy we came across a piste side bar/restaurant decked out with lots of Albion gear. Can't remember the exact details as it was well over 10 years ago, but from a hazy memory I think the guy that owned it was Italian, but his wife/girlfriend was from Brighton.

They were playing recordings of southern sound radio in that bar, been on the slopes for long time it impressed my mates that was over 27 years ago:rave:
