I assume this has been done before but couldn't it...

What is the best team you can put together of Albion first-team players who have got a full cap for England at some point during their career? The midfield is looking a bit lightweight to say the least...

GK: Joe Corrigan
LB: Wayne Bridge
RB: Gary Stevens
CB: Steve Foster
CB: Matt Upson
M: Mark Chamberlain
M: Lee Hendrie
M: Mark Barham
F: Bobby Zamora
F: Peter Ward
F: Bobby Smith

At work - probably
John Gregory played in midfield for us and scored a fair few goals that helped keep us up in the First Division and later won caps at QPR (I think). Think Martin Keown could get in the team somewhere (if we are including loan players). Dave Beasant on the bench, along with Martin Chivers.

Gregory in midfield, Keown at RB, move Gary Stevens into midfield, and drop Hendrie and Chamberlain. That looks a bit stronger.

Alan Curbishley played for the U21s and Denis Mortimer for England 'B' - they would improve the midfield a bit. Jimmy Case made the U23s too.
Those three would have done OK!

Martin Chivers up front with Bobby Smith with Matt Le Tissier supplying the crosses, with Alan Mullery in midfield. Awesome side.

I think we have a choice of Howard Wilkinson or Peter Taylor as manager.

Paul Gascoigne played the 2nd half of a friendly game for us, can't remember the match

He swapped sides at half time
