Gordon Smith did one “and smith did score” if my memory serves me well. John Shepherd’s daughter did a biography of her dad “Into the lion’s den” that is a great read because it also includes a lot of London and Spanish social history.

I have to say that as much as I love Wardy his book is dreadful. Nowhere near the same class as Garry Nelson.

Bob Booker's biography is decent. But I'd like to read a Mark McGhee autobiog. I'd like to write it, actually, but he says all the stories have been told. (Not one of two that I've heard from his time here ...)

The OP is going on a long haul flight. Charlie's book could be read Hove to Brighton shuttle train

There's an even more interesting sequel yet to be written - Charlie's Adventures Aboard The Gus Bus. Now THAT would be a good read.

Do we get to the part where Charlie got a dicky tummy, whilst driving the Gus Bus, that he had to lay a brown egg in the palace dressing room?
