So glad Tony’s getting a substantial repayment from the capital loans he’s provided to the club. I would hate to see the amount of interest he could have earned on over £400m over the years. He is an absolute live saver and stellar bloke to boot. I can’t think of a more loved Premier League Club owner.

Hopefully, these figures puts into perspective all those that ‘demanded/expected’ us to spend above our sustainable levels to pad out the squad in January or replace our Midfield last summer. Paul Barber always said that the long term objective is for the Club not to be reliant on TB for financial investment- this feels like a significant step in the right direction.
Out of interest....I wonder what he would get for the club if he sold it tomorrow?

I've a question here.
Why does StarLizard not advertise at the Amex?
Understanding that the FA dictate how much every advert is worth, is our shirt not worth a lot more than American Express are paying?
Haven't Chelsea just had a dubious shirt sponsor permitted at high prices?
I doubt they need to.

Starlizard is primarily used by high-end far east betting syndicates. Thats the clientel - if you're in that game, you'll already be well aware of what Starlizard delivers. It doesn't need advertising.

Advertising for betting companies in stadiums is directed at all the mug-punters, like you ane me.

That comment is aimed at RDZ, I assume.
No - it wasn’t.

I am not privy to what RDZ’s expectations were of our expenditure this season - I only understand from pressers that he repeatedly said that spending money was the business of the Board/TB and his business as the coach was to focus on the players he has.

I think PB’s comments about ‘chasing Europe/cups’ is pretty much in line with what I have been saying in the past few days on the RDZ threads though - that if our project changes from being a top ten Club (when RDZ arrived) to challenging for cups/ Europe on a regular basis, we would stand more chance of keeping RDZ after the summer window. It remains to be seen whether the RDZ and PB are on the same page with the level of investment we need in the squad to enable us to do that for the next 2 seasons RDZ is still contracted to us but I read PB’s comments as a positive sign.

Because StarLizard only seek Far East billionaire clients, who naturally come to them?
Also if you look on their website, unless I am plain stupid, there is no mention of anyone who actually works there. Ergo very secretive company unlikely to do high profile Premier League shirt sponsorship

There are certain businesses that don't need to advertise, Rolls Royce and Starlizard being two off the top of the bat. Tony's consortium is, I believe, by private invitation.
Stand to be corrected.

My guess is that iris pointless advertising a service that only (maybe?) 0.5% of the population could ever partake in, even if they wanted, to the general public. At the same time possibly alienating your core client base who value their anonymity.
