How does the Potter compensation come into the 21-22 accounts/financial year?

Second lowest wages in the PL? That's impressive. Can't imagine it'll be the same in the next set of accounts!

Can someone explain the accounts as simply as possible?

Am I right in thinking we spent 211million on just the running of the club last season? If we had the second lowest wages(where does it say that - I'm struggling to read any of it!) what are all the other expenses?

The accounts include the sales of Burn and White? so next years will include Bissouma, Maupay, Cucurella and Trossard?

Thanks!

No, the 211 includes player purchases but excludes player sales, so not a real number. 158 m is total expenses before player trading, with an operating profit of 12m even before the net profit on player trades.

Correct re player sales, to which can be added the compensation for Potter going to Chelsea.

I am sorry El Pres - but can you explain (again) about the £499 TB investment (or point me in the right direction). £499m is the amount TB has put in from his own pocket to cover infrastructure and previous day to day losses. Initially the money TB put in was interest free - is that still the case ?

Initially the headline figures were £150m or so for the Amex and Lancing - there has been additional investment of course - but is the bulk of the £499m ongoing operating losses - and if so will there be a time where TB can reduce the £499m - or could that only come from a sale ?

“Paul Barber pay up £800k to £2.9m”

Is he paid per word?
Ron Pavey will be spinning in his grave 😂

But in all seriousness, whilst there’s a touch of marmite about all of us, PB is very very good at what he does, he’s no doubt the envy of many of the EPL clubs who would pay far more for his services. (Chelsea are currently paying the 2nd best ever Albion manager £12 million a year)

Like the League form, cup run etc, let’s enjoy it while we can, unfortunately those old enough can remember the fallow times after Wembley 83.

If for some extraordinary reason I doubt that will ever happen but if we wanted to how much could we be able to spend in the summer transfer market within the FFP guidelines?

True!

I don’t have an issue to be honest. He’s presiding over a hugely successful football club which he has played a significant part in.

So we are probably always going to have to make big money player sales to turn a profit right ? Which we ‘know’ anyway but here’s the proof ?

I’m not sure it’ll be that different.

Trossard, Bissouma, Maupay & Cucurella probably weren’t on peanuts and the only signing who’d demand a similar wage is Pervis. Obviously they’ll be increased wages for Ali Mac & Caicedo too but can’t imagine it’ll be much more than last year.

Personally wouldn’t be surprised if we were in the bottom 3 for wages again. Especially when Forest signed 261710 players so at least one newly promoted team will be ahead of us.
