A very dim and ill informed Poyet, spokesperson, Dicker ..... talked a lot of garbage, about TB being the one that decided he wasn't good enough (just because TB was the one who had the break the news)

Dicker was patently NOT good enough to be part of promotion winning squad, and deservedly just a bit part player under Gus this season. Gus and TB would have worked out some weeks ago who had to be released.

Brilliant. Talk about only listening to what you want to. No doubt if Gary Dicker had gone on and criticised Gus you would have been on here saying how terribly he treated players and taking Dicker's word as gospel.

Is his first name Ian?

He was introduced as having connections with Tony Bloom, which should be taken in to consideration.

But I agree with what he says, Poyet has been successful, but, he has been backed by one of the league’s best chairmen. He’s had the money and support in terms of control. Then he says what he says on Monday after the game when he should have said stuff like: 'planning for next year or we will come back stronger', even if it was total bollocks. Poyets has shown a real lack of respect for Bloom the employer and Brighton and Hove Albion the football club.

I agree too. Think it is Ian mcgarry.

Exactly.

We may not have the money of the carefully selected and quoted Cardiff, Leicester, and parachute payment Blackburn, but compared to most clubs come season 12/13, very generous 5-figure wages per week were being paid to Bridge, CMS, Upson, Ulloa, David, Kuzschk, Orlandi, Vicente.

A wage bill 40% higher than Wembley-bound CPFC's in 11/12, and since then upped considerably shows the financial support the club, fans and TB gave to Poyet, yet he still wasn't satisfied. Others like Holloway, Jackett and Powell, just get on with their job, and leave money talk to behind closed doors.

Summary:
+ Gary Dicker insistent poogate was nothing to do with the players or coaching staff who were in the players lounge for several hours before the game, eating etc.
+ Some bellend from Redhill thinks Brighton should be docked points, Dicker disagrees.
+ He thinks it's strange that the chairman dealt with contracts rather than Poyet.
+ Ian McGarry says Bloom has backed Poyet more than any other chairman has backed any other manager in the division.
+ Claridge says we're upwardly mobile and that Poyet seems to have pushed too far, worrying about himself rather than the club.
+ Motty says something high pitched and incomprehensible but remains bafflingly a national treasure.
+ Claridge talks over everyone else for four or five minutes in extremely basic English: "Look, the thing is, if you say, if you make, let's, shall we say, a sentence, that isn't coming across like it should be...you know?" No Steve. No we don't. Shut up and get your ****ing barnet sorted.

Do you want to put labels and units on the axis of that graph?
Otherwise you might as well have scribbled a penis in paint as it would make just as much sense!

Are the labels and units on there not good enough for you?

Hopefully you can make sense of this one

Best backed with regards to what we had to start with, you can't argue with that after he spent over £100 million on a stadium. To give us a competitive budget after spending that much is incredible and we still have the training ground costs to come.

Agreed. It was a 5 year plan, Gus knew this. The money shelled out on a stadium and training ground mean't that the budget for players would be lower than for some other clubs. The players are training on poor facilities, the benefits of a decent training ground will bare fruits, but not for a few years.
I believe that Gus would be given time to reach the Prem, perhaps he was too impatient.

Brilliant.

Did you really listen to it all, and remain open minded?

An obviously disappointed Dicker was guessing that TB had solely decided that Dicker wasn't good enough in footballing terms and had to be released. What tosh. The decisions would clearly have been made by the football management team already, but the budget-whinging Gus shirked the chats, as he eyed PL ££££££££.

Whether you admit it or not, Bloom has lent your club £93m for the stadium, £29m for Lancing, covered years of £m losses at Withdean, and covered £16m of losses at the Amex, as we have recruited players we couldn't really afford that Gus requested we sign. That level of loss has now been outlawed by the FL.

McGarry and the others made it plain about the aforementioned generosity of Bloom, and they were spot on.

Gus's squad payroll cost was unsustainable, and soon to be outside FL rules, and so it came to a head. He's not the sort of manager like Holloway, Powell or Jackett who don't obsess about rivals budgets, and so brought about this apparent ending.

At what point did I say I wasn't grateful for the amazing investment from Tony Bloom and what he has done for the club. All I am saying is that the witch hunt against Poyet is unnecessary until we know all the facts.

The mood in THIS thread is somewhat different to that in the 'Kill Paul Barber' thread across the road. Let's hope the regulars in there don't wander over at closing time.

Why did he show a keen interest in relegation bound Reading, often talk about relatively low budgets and wages through the media, talk about moving on if he felt we'd reached the roof, and tell the players he may well not be here next season?

Isn't it more professional and loyal to commit to his current employer and fan-base, keep his thoughts private, until he has made a definitive decision to break his employment contract and move to a PL club?
