They are when they can neither read nor write.

The letter that acompanied the tickets quite catergorically stated do not send cash. Send either a cheque or use a credit card.

It also said do not return any unsold tickets. Whoever thought that up excelled themselves. It means that any unscrupulous persons may sell the tickets and 'bin' the money. The club will think that have not been sold, the purchasers will think that their tickets went in the draw but they didnt win. The person who sold them is £25 better off. Great security.

They only sent the tickets to Albion fans. So I don't think anyone would steal money from the club they love. P.S. How come they sent you some?

1. They sent the tickets to known addresses of supporters, some of whom may have moved. My friend has had his season ticket sent to his old address for the past 3 years despite correctly completing the form with his currenty address. Similarly I still get mail from the club sent toa pub I left over 2 years ago.

2. It is an acknowledged fact that the vast majority of thefts are from the family or close connections with the thief.

3. You would not have been expected to know that my brother in law was mentally handicapped but it should not have taken a rocket scientist to work out that his disability bore some relation as to why he couldn't have cheque book.

4. They probably sent me the tickets because I have SUPPORTED the club in all senses of the word for 60 years.

Any views that I may have as regards the club being underfunded and not being run very efficiently from the top are well known and as such I do not wish to become embroiled in a discussion on those aspects at this present time as we all need to be seen to be singing from the same hymn sheet.

I have not received any myself. However, my young son has. Yet another cock-up from the club's clowns I guess. :censored:

My kids got them with a Seagulls Club posting long before I received mine. They were intended to be sent to the youngsters, too.

Mine were addressed to my 7 year old, though. Oops.

However, rather than slag the club, I just accepted a mistake had been made and got on and sold them.

The club may have preferred not to take the risk of people sending cash, but it doesn't mean they will refuse it. No-one stuck a gun to your head to get you to sell the tickets. If you really find it a hardship, don't do it - you are not being forced to.

2. It is an acknowledged fact that the vast majority of thefts are from the family or close connections with the thief. So... what? Don't bother with this ticket selling scheme on account of the fact that someone dishonest might steal some money? What about the vast majority of honest decent people you have rounded upon? What a spiteful untrusting nature you have.

You wanted to take the club over once upon a time, so what's wrong with putting some money in now? Or was it all just hot air? Oh, you can't put money in. I forgot, you are bitter because someone else is running the club and taking the credit, and not you and your 'consortium'.
