Does anyone know why Jarrett doesn't even get a mention these days? As far as I know he's not injured.

wherever the money is
Magoo has been keeping him the reserves to get his body strenth etc up in the same way he is doing with Jakey boy. I think he will appear more next season.

From what I've seen of him in recent reserve games, he certainly deserves a recall to the first team. He has been looking great, and is starting to produce the end project after all is great build up play. I think this kid could be a star of the future.

According to the Argus, Dean White is doing some extra training with him.
He's wanting him to try and impress to get his place back in the squad so it may be he isn't trying whilst in the reserves? (reading between the lines)

Agreed - but very difficult to slot such an attack-minded, defensively so-so winger into a 3-5-2 formation. Remember we dropped Darren Currie because he didn't fit into the 3-5-2 at West Ham - I'm wondering if even Currie would play every game with us at the moment if he rejoined.

It's closer to a 3-5-1-1 though isn't it?

Harty is doubling up as a midfielder/striker in recent games.

Currie played a couple of games up front didn't he?

I think Jarrett could slot in behind McCammon and terrorise defences.

Although there clearly isn't a midfield role for him at the moment there is certainly space for an attack minded midfielder as we can see with Harty.

Although I'd guess Harty does a much better job as a center forward than Jarrett could because a) expirience and b) strength.

Addition: Not forgetting Knight who's slipped into that role recently.

I've got a feeling McGhee's going to change it about a bit within the next few months. We don't want to become to predictable and he's made changes previously in the season to keep us fresh.

Yep, that's the only place you could play him - spot on. But I can't see making Leon give way would be too popular a move.

Although with Kinkygerbil banned until after Saturday, this could be McGhee's best chance to get away with it ;)

LI - you used to be interesting. You now just try to start arguments with the idiots. It's like LI vs FG. Grow up FFS

Leon knight is our best forward player. Suggesting Jarrett is better than Knight shows you up as a wind-up artist up there with that dullard FG.

You actually have some sensible things to say, don't ruin it

Jarrett will come good as will Molgano Mcghee stated when he signed em that they would not feature much this season....as they both had talent but were very raw

It might not be a bad idea to loan both Jarrett and Molango to lower league teams.

As mentioned earlier. These 2 players are young and are (allegedly) on low wages. MM is building his team for the future.

(Mind you, I'm still not convinced that Molango will make it at this level).

Molango wouldn't get into the Crawley team.

And if we were to then get an injury we would be screwed!

Cracking idea lets drop Knight the most talented player in the squad.

I think Jarrett looked good going forward but he was not very good at chasing back and helping defend.

Well, thanks for that outburst Tim.

I actually suggested nothing of the kind. I was having an exchange with Turkey about where Jarrett could potentially play in a 3-5-2 system and we agreed that it was only in Leon Knight's spot could Jarrett be currently accomodated. That doesn't mean we were advocating it - we were just discussing McGhee's options. Before being so censorious you could try and understand more clearly the argument being put forward.

As for having a bit of fun with the likes of Kinkygerbil - chill out. Football discussions don't have to be dry and serious, you can have a bit of fun along the way. I actually respect the likes of Kinkygerbil's views on football, at least they are consistent and honestly argued, and it's why I don't mind him having a bit of fun at my expense and hopefully he doesn't mind it the other way round either - well, at least that is what he's told me in the past :)

What's with the sarcasm?

I never said Knight should be dropped for Jarrett.

I wouldn't even say Jarrett looked good going forward. Granted he can run with the ball but his decision making is dire and he doesn't seem to know when to release the ball.

Wouldn't appear he can defened either but thats not exactly been a feature of Knights game either.

Knight is a lot better than Jarrett but stick Jarrett in that role behind a striker such as McCammon and just his direct dribbling could cause defences trouble.

A month at Crawley would do wonders for him. Perhaps a second div team like Brentford would find a month on loan would help with their promotion push.

I'd really like to see what he could do.
