Been to Turkey about 20 times. Great country. Not been to Alanya. Locals say it nice. I've been to a few resorts and nothing beats Fethiye region. Going again in June. The further south you go the more Russians you get.

Went to Fethiye last October, loved it so much we're going back this October.

Lovely resort hotels. great food, long beaches, helpful staff (where I went) and most importantly - great golf courses! (I went with 11 other golfing mates a few years ago)

Have stayed in Belek which is between Antalya and Alanya Absolutely loved it. It was awash with Russion tourists though. Not sure if this would still be the case.

Article on the BBC today about 6 different people that have gone to Turkey for weight surgery and none are alive 6 months later . Moral of the story seems to be don’t go to countries that don’t have similar health care standards to the UK because it’s you are saving money .

Turkey & countries like Egypt are def far higher risk than having it done here .

Been to Turkey just the once and Alanya was the place we stayed. It was a great holiday although it was 34 years ago and we were only in our early 20s. Hotel Ananas if I remember rightly
