Thanks mate. Got for both games. Bridge car park is hellish to get out of but marginally less hellish than waiting in the queue for racecourse p&r where my three kids spend the 45 mins or so trying to kill themselves and anyone in the vicinity rolling and rugby tackling on the grassy bank..

I find the P&R too stressful these days, particularly when I'm coming from further afield.

If I'm by myself, I can jog back to the Bridge on the final whistle and pretty much drive straight out. With Junior Orange it is almost the same, but if Dad is along for the ride we'll hang back on the concourse and enjoy a pint of Harveys.

Had an ‘on line chat’ with a club rep this morning at 0915 and asked the question
‘ will there be any more car park tickets released for Ajax?’ Reply no

20 mins later the tickets appeared !!!

I find this odd.
My kids stood in the P&R queue alongside me when they were young.
Why do you allow yours to try to kill themselves and anyone in the vicinity?

It's an exaggeration. An attempt to make my post humorous. Lost on you obviously. After the game, my kids stretch their legs, roll around a bit and bundle on each other on the bank. They are not the only ones. Other kids do so too. Occasionally one may roll himself in the direction of one of the trees or the people queuing below. When this looks likely, my eldest steps in to prevent damage to themselves, the trees and those such as yourselves standing in the queue frowning, tutting and remarking how well drilled their offspring were.
If it looks like it is getting out of hand I step in and tell them to calm it down. I think it's OK for them to play and stretch their legs after sitting in the car to get there, sitting in the stadium and before sitting down to get home - but they do know to treat those around them with respect and if they forget that, they are told off. Managing all of this is a bit tiresome - as is a lot of parenting, which is why I prefer marginally the walk to the Bridge car park afterwards followed by queuing in a car than standing (well drilled or not) in a queue for up to an hour with the lure of a steep grassy bank next to us.
