This was my thought. I seem to be a twat magnet everytime I've been to Wolves and would clap the stewards escorting the bell cheeses out if that happened but they've never appeared. Black country folk have experienced a lot worse than us lot.

I was at the 3-3 when Roger f***ing Johnson scored at the end of the game standing in the final row next to the Wolves fans. Suffice it to say, I didn't get thrown out for making multiple Vs, wanker signs or shouting "f*** off you ****s" at the top of my voice. I don't say this because I am proud of it - I'm not, well, maybe a little - and at no other point in my life would I react such a way otherwise which is why we love football. Maybe I was the twat that day and nowadays my lad is with me so I've grown up.

That is why I called bullshit on the earlier quote. I was on the stewards shoulder when I did the above.

He made an obscene gesture to someone in the hospitality boxes behind us after we scored. Not the most mature behaviour but I'm sorry it's not worthy of a ban by any stretch. Given that Wolves fans started the absue and were generally tw*ts throughout, I think they'll survive a w*nker sign.

You're right, they have seen a lot worse. Which is where the miserable, jobsworth steward bit comes into it. He only threatened to throw my brother out after he asked why the Wolves fans were allowed to give us abuse from the kickoff without any stewarding. That was met with "that doesn't matter, do it again and you're out".

The club will have no ruling if he does that, and if I was him that's what I would be doing.

Yeah, everyone was doing it basically. We were right on the end of the row though so he decided to single my brother out. He was an utterly miserable b*stard looking for an excuse to be honest. Which is why I don't completely like the idea of the club going solely on the word of (potentially) guys like him when issuing bans to people chucked out.

I agree, but in this case he’s very publicly admitted chucking a ’glass’ of beer (an ejectable offence in the Ajax arena) and not knowing where it landed……..he left the club with an easy decision.

And there you have it. Those that think a 5 game ban is nothing and that anyone that suffers this deserves it will realise and wake up at some point. Too late by then probably though.

Spill beer- fine.
Throw beer in air - annoying but it's high spirited "scenes".
Throw beer including container in air - still scenes but really you're being a bit of a twat.
Launch beer in container substantial distance - right twat.
As above but towards home fans - ban.
