Happy to share our city with well behaved Ajax supporters. Hope that the 20 or so potential dickheads don't choose to exploit what could be a good day / evening sharing our pubs! I am confident there won't be any issues.
There'll definitely be a few, trouble has been following Dutch fans round for the last few years. Feyenoord smashed up the famous fountain in Rome and the away end in Graz, kicked off yesterday in Lens with PSV. AZ with West Ham. Hammarby visiting FC Twente. Ajax fans got arrested before the Spurs semi final not to mention when Molotovs were thrown at them by AEK.

Whilst in the UK it's been almost been completely cleaned up, Europe is getting so much worse. At my local, FC Utrecht, there are about 500 stadium bans in order. They literally never get enforced.

We heard all that before the AEK game, they out paced and out muscled us.....
Their pace is definitely a worry. But aek were together as one, a unit, the players love the manager and he is decent.

Ajax are a mess and the players can't be arsed.

Made a rookie mistake. Me and the boys were all lined up to follow their coaches to give them the full middle finger treatment all the way to the stadium. Then I remembered I hadn't booked parking at the stadium and would need to get to the park and ride before it got full. We are going to have to be slicker for when Marseille arrive.

Why can't it just be like the Marseille game ? The odd fist salute and the up yours hand signals in the photos that were shared. My kind of football hooliganism. Lots of grunting, posturing, and general consternation at a safe distance. No-one gets hurt. Lovely. I might even give the odd five knuckle shuffle followed by 'aaaahhhhhhhh', from my front room 3 miles away, when they miss a sitter. The Mary Whitehouse Mob.

These are a bit different gravy to the Greek fans. I expect it to be a bit fiesty.

Hardcore Chelsea-supporting mate says there's always trouble with Ajax fans when they visit. So don't think it's going to be as friendly as some people are imagining.

Are we PL ready? Yes.
Are we Europe ready? Dunno. Imagine this lot arriving at Falmer station...

And being forced to wait patiently in the rain afterwards.

Reminds me of when we were escorted off the train at ipswich and marched through the town to the ground. There was no aggro just a lot of singing and shouting and generally having a great time

Whatever you think of European ultras, they are certainly a sight to behold. Just don’t confront them

Through friends of friends I know a Utrecht chap that got banned so he comes over to UK for 2 Millwall matches a month now.

I saw around 15-20 unmistakeably Ajax ultra types (black hoodies/black baseball caps/talking Dutch) eating in Five Guys in the North Laine at 6pm this evening, a mere 26 hours early. They looked no more alarming than those gimps from Croydon...

There were about 15 black-clothing clad moody looking Dutch speaking youths on my Gatwick Express down from Victoria this evening. Looked as much a Duke of edinburgh trip as it did a European away game
