Why does the fact he's ex-England or that he has potential future earnings affect the outcome? I have a feeling if this story was about a 30 year old bearded man who live in his mothers basement some of the comments on here would be very different.

Approximately the same sentence as Rolf Harris, so it could be considered rather harsh.Yes, I know Harris's sentence could be considered lenient and his age may have been taken into consideration.
Heaven help the prison population if all the aged popstars were had up for engaging in sexual activity with the underage groupies of the 1960's and 70's.

Basically, it confirms my initial impression that AJ was behaving like a 19 yo with a girl of 15 and it would not have been illegal (borderline) in Germany or France. OTT.

There doesn't seem to be any cohesion on sentencing. On the one hand you have this woman getting off for sexual activity with a male aged 13 to 17 while in a position of trust.

On the other hand you have this case where the woman was totally banged to rights, 11 counts of sexual activity with a child, was jailed today for four years and three months per count.

I was specifically looking at female grooming cases because I wanted to see if they get similar sentences to men.

So, in my opinion personally, I don't think it can be called harsh or lenient because it seems there isn't any real mark to judge from.
