It's going to take him a while to adjust to hitting the ball either long or forward more often than sideways and back imo.
His first rather wayward long ball on Saturday ended up in the back of the net though

It was evident on Saturday that the sideways game is still ingrained in a few of the players. As you say, a bit of time and it will all come together.

Paperwork had to be completed and move ratified by the league.....and the club must want to announce both moves on the same day.
