Hahaha QPR. The club that likes to say **** off to FFP and spend more than Everton & Swansea combined on agent fees.

How on earth have QPR spent that much? I can only presume its fees for offloading expensive players as well as a few inwards.

They sold Charlie Austin to Stains, suspect his agent took a slice off the top of the £4 million fee, given that Austin was out of contract in June.

It looks as if QPR's FFP dealings for 2013/14, where they had a jolly good piece of luck in one of their directors writing off a £60 million loan that managed to wipe out the FFP fine of the same amount, is not being discussed these days at FL meetings in the minutes. How peculiar!

Wouldn't that be a fee paid by SCC rather than QPR?

What's that all about? Either FFP needs to be binned or enforced.

How did Aston Villa spend that much, when no players were signed?

Because agents are often used in order to sell players, not just to buy them. The money QPR got for Austin was pretty good and possibly money well spent (if this is what they spent it on).

Agreed, also when an existing player signs a new extended contract his agent may get a fee.

That prem one must be from August as Man U haven't had any ins and outs since October therefore meaning villas is mainly based on their summer dealings too.

Forest were under FFP embargo during this period - maybe an unintended side-effect of embargo is to channel more money to agents instead of on transfer fees.

Usually, but not always. Agents can act for sellers as well as buyers.

It could also be that QPR paid Hasselbaink's agent a fee when he took over as manager, as I think that happened in the quarter in question.

What's that all about? Either FFP needs to be binned or enforced.

My understanding (and this has NOT come from anyone connected with the Albion) is that the Football League regularly discuss the progress of the QPR FFP case, but nothing is formally minuted, as they fear QPR's very very very expensive lawyers.

From an ethical point of view QPR are playing fast and loose with the numbers, however the wealth of their owners (Mittal is wealthier than Manchester City's owners, and Fernandes wrote off £180 million of loans from the club last year) means the club is not going bust, unless they loose interest. Their vanity prevents them admitting that they effectively bought promotion in 2013/14 via paying wages far in excess of the rest of the division.

Do a deal dodgy 'arry used to work there

Managers don't get involved in transfer negotiations, they provide a name(s) to the Chief Exec who then contacts the selling club and then speaks to the player and his agent(s). Besides which HR left on Feb 2015.
