I'e said it before, Brezovan is not a bad keeper, overall he is probably on a par with casper. Both can pull off great saves, both can make point costing decisions. Brez has made some mistakes, but like some do with casper, people ignore his other contributions. Against spurs, casper conceded 2 of the goals, and I don't recall him making any particular save, whereas Brezovan conceded one and made a great save too. Stoke were playing the same way they did to beat or draw against the likes of Arsenal, Liverool, and Chelsea. Brezovan was playing his 7th competitive game in almost a year in a league one team that included several fringe players. Casper's propensity for dropping the ball (particularly on crosses) and slapping at the ball rather than really punching it with distance, puts pressure on us defensively, which we were able to deal with in league one, but aren't handling as well in the championship. But Brezovan is nervous possessing the ball at his feet, he dallies when he should rush and rushes when he should dally.
Given the pressure teams are now putting Ankergren under when he has the ball, are we still benefiting as much from his comfort in possession? Would Brezovan's discomfort be as costly?
I'm not sure that Gus has as much faith in Brez as I do, since he didn't play him in the earlier cup games, especially gillingham. So, while I would give Brez the nod v wrexham I don't think we're going to see him play again unless Casper gets injured.
