The Eddy -very near the station but away from the crowds. They do a great burger, plus a great proper pub atmosphere.

Upper Gloucester Road....

The Druids / Pump House / Market / Bath Arms is a FABULOUS little central-Lanes mini-crawl.

Personally I'm going for an extended pre-match jolly, before scurrying home after the game for the golf.

Wasn't The Market originally known as The Golden Fleece run by a women with green hair used to drink there on pub crawls in the 80's

Hove (actually)
Battle, yeoman, eddy, Wellington, Caxton - 5 decent boozers with hardly a stagger between them. Then choose to head back to station via the Evening star or queens head, or drop down to The eagle and the basketmakers on Gloucester road.
