What I am most excited about is that he does the simple things right. Here’s how I see the difference between him and many of our other players, so far:

Percy: 1x piece of skill, 1x simple, completed pass
Other Albion attacking players: 1x piece of skill, 1x piece of skill, loses ball/misplaced pass

Dangerous, but isn’t forever trying to make a pass that only De Bruyne can make. Can’t wait to see more of him.

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

I really needed you to back me up with my son. I complemented Percy on how well he was playing early on.

Son: ....but he's just done some basic turns, passes and runs
Me: Exactly.....

have to hope Potter doesnt coach the talent and drive out of him

you are correct, should get hughts back to play him as auxiliary right back, so we have zero goal threat and lose 3 or 4 nothing

oh no, that's worse.............................. and a lot less fun :)

Tau, Caicedo, Lamptey, Biss, Lallana (When fit), Welbeck (See Lallana).

That's some pace and skill right there. I can see Bloom's, Barber's, Ashworth's, and Potter's bigger picture more clearly now.

Europe here we come. [emoji6]

Moder looks FLAIR too. And the other Pole is VERY fast.

Lol

Not seen since Rod Thomas tore Chester City to shreds in the happy clappy days of yore.

Step aside Sir Rod, for there's a new flair God in Town.

Hear the Lion ROAR.

Leeds will be shitting it.

Slowly the team is starting to evolve with Tau bringing the greater pace that currently only Lampety has. When everyone is fit and the new squad players are fully integrated we will have the options of breaking fast and if this doesn't work of going to possession based approach. However the possession should be sharper as we will have the quality to inject pace to get up the pitch quicker.

Based on what we have seen so far, Tau looks like he will be a starter for a long period of time.

Good god. Can we not wait a while before forming judgments?
So, he's the real deal. If that's the case, how many goals are you expecting from him this season?

Wish I could be bothered to dig back to the posts that replicate this thread when Trossard made his early appearances, they were full of he’s too good for us, enjoy him while you can type messages. The rest, as they say, is history.

Hopefully that won’t be the case here...

Percy looks good but it's early days he tired second half not surprising considering the Belgium league is slower and the shift he put in first half, he shone when he had the ball but the for me the highlight was when we had a corner Trossard and Tau stood over the ball which Trossard took, it was cleared and Man City broke with real speed with Dunk Webster and Burn still at the wrong end of the pitch DuBuyne was away meanwhile Tau set off after him a good 15 yards behind which he made up and shepherd the ball out of play at the other end of the pitch. I can remember Zamora and Murray doing the same both went on to be all time greats

Tau like Lamptey appears to have a low centre of gravity, some of his turns were really sharp. If we can get him doing that in the box, he’s going to cause a lot of problem for the opposition.

You can remember a Murray who could make up 15 yards against a player breaking with real speed?

Seriously?

Even better was when Zamora defended a corner in our own box, then roared up the other end to score. When Tau starts doing that, we'll be home and dry!
