Right, anybody want to take part in this, the African version of the Champions League which runs from February 7 to December 7 this year. Format is three knock out rounds until the last eight when they are split into two groups of four of which the top two in each group go on to the semi-finals then a two leg final. There are 58 teams in this year's competition so the first 57 people to sign up will not only be drawn a team in the Champions league but the first 52 will get an additional team in the Confederations Cup (African version of the Europa League) which follows the same format except in the round prior to the groups the 8 losers in the Champions League drop into the Confederations Cup - making it possible that both your teams could play each other in the final.
This being Africa results are not necessarily decided on the pitch; teams have withdrawn in the past due to various political coups or been kicked out for failing to turn up to one of the matches, missed the correct flight, or failed to tot up the correct number of bookings a player has received and played him when he should have been banned.
Not only that you get the excellent African team names; this year Kaiser Chiefs will be playing along with Ebusua Dwarves and Steve Biko FC, though unfortunately no Botswana Meat Commission or Eleven Men in Flight.
