Too many poppies here, too many poppies over there. Sad.

A complete waste of life, and money, fighting Americas wars.

Spot on. To say nothing of the social problems and divisions we've stoked up in our own society where poorly-educated and easily-influenced young Muslims were only too happy to believe that we were fighting a 'war on Islam'.

Its not America's war it is a fight between liberal democracy and Islamist terrorism.

Don't foolishly believe we have an opt out clause, we don't. Evil needs to be confronted head on.

If only history could have warned us that a war in Afghanistan wouldn't go well.

Bollocks.
This war had nothing to do with us. It was Americas war, for quite a specific reason. They were attacked, not us. Our role was merely to give credibility to Americas attacks, and subsequent occupations.
Dont foolishly believe otherwise.

And not attacked by Afghanistan either. We still wine and dine the country responsible for 9/11.

I was a bit busy having a good time with family and friends watching a band.

..and a significantly higher chance of terrorist attacks in Britain, despite already being high thanks to following the USA into the mess after an attack on American overseas policy

OK mate, you keep dreaming in your twighlight zone of ignorance, do you seriously think that even if we had not got involved in anyway whatsoever, that these lunatics wouldn't have still grabbed any opportunity that presented itself to kill Brits or in fact any westerner that they could get their hands on?

Just a bit of topic, the islamic state have just released a new propaganda video with John Cantlie. In it he has to say that he dosn't know why there is no western journalists reporting what is going on in this Syrian town lol. I think judging from what happened to other western aid workers and jounalists is a good reason why they decided to give it a miss.

So after those 453 deaths of our troops and thousands of injuries as well as the billions spent the Taliban are stronger than ever and poppy growing is at record levels and the fact that our actions have helped to radicalise more Muslims both in Afghanistan and at home - what should be our next move? Go back in?!
