It’s kind of annoying how much the media have been saying Ivory Coast were crashing out. The results we’d need for them to go out aren’t that likely!

I think Ivory Coast will be playing Senegal in the next round so there’s a good chance they’ll get knocked out at the weekend.

So Ivory Coast’s reward for winning a single game out of 3 as the host nation, whilst suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat, is progression to the next round with an extra days rest compared to their next opponent. I’m really not sure this letting the best third place teams qualify is a great rule.

Anyway, at best we’ll see Adingra for Palace. Ivory Coast will play Senegal on Monday, if they lose that he’ll surely be back with us within a few days.
