As a minor sideshow to today's other sport, Balogun's Nigeria are 1-0 down to Algeria at half time.

Which brings an end to the 2018-19 season as far as Albion internationalists go.

We have a long wait now until the 2019-20 Albion internationalists season begins - tomorrow evening, with Matt Everitt in the ROI U-19 squad at the UEFA European U-19 Championship Finals in Armenia!

Also a chance Balogun could play in the 3rd/4th place play-off on Wednesday.

Oh yes, hadn't considered there was the meaningless 3rd place play-off fixture.

Meaningless to you, maybe, but not so meaningless to the players involved and the maker of the 3rd place trophy.

Yep, I'm absolutely certain that the players who have just had the crushing experience of losing a semi-final are DELIGHTED they have to stick around for another 3 days and play a meaningless fixture before they get to go on their holidays.....
