Yep same. Soaking up the post match reaction and radio - 5 live atm. Will be a late night but well worth it reflecting on an insane season so far
I’m awful on bedtime discipline after an Albion win. Worse for me, it’s 11:30 as we’re in France.

Gods country fortnightly
for a long time it looked like there was only 1 top 4 spot available. Now there’s 2, some huge tests coming up.

I'm happy now because Brighton won but now I can't stop thinking "if". Now Brighton is 6th with 46 points. But it should be 4th with 50 points by now if Estupinan goal was accepted (I can't remember which game it was, but it was actually not offside and his goal was not accepted by the referee in a game a few months ago :poop: ) and if Brighton won last weekend's game with 33 shots:rolleyes:
I used to think like that but it drives you mad.

What if Palace had taken one or two of their huge chances at the Amex, what if either of the penalty shouts v Bournemouth at home had been given against us, what if Leeds hadn’t missed a virtual open goal with the last kick of the game in the home win. It’s swings and roundabouts and almost every club will feel the same about games we have win against them.

Try and enjoy it!

You can't remember, I can't bloody forget.

It was against the scum up the road.

And I agree, we should be on more points. The ifs and buts do not even out. And Toney dived for their freekick.
And you've forgotten the stonewall pens we weren't awarded v Villa and Leicester.

The Villa one was absolutely ridiculous. The ref wasn't even asked to look at the monitor.

I can't think any comparable decisions this season that have gone in our favour.

And with 2 games in hand over Spurs, who, if we beat at the weekend will be within 1pt.
How can you not look at this table without a massive grin and the hope of Europe next season?
What a season so far.

I haven't forgotten the Villa one (I wasn't covering the whole season). I have forgotten the Leicester one, which is progress I guess (but then I wasn't watching that live).

The Villa one was absolutely ridiculous.

I know. Solly was down long enough.

Yes.

The thing is, I often think there's a big difference between us and other teams (Palace away, Fulham and Brentford at home - games we haven't won) and today was a lot closer was more of a one off. I'm not actually sure if it was Bournemouth upping their game or us dropping off, or a bit of both.
Probably a bit of each, but even through the scarier moments, I felt we still had control of the game. To be honest, games like this (and Brentford) really shows how gritty we can be - not something we were really known for, but combine that determination with the ridiculous skills we seem to have (when on top form), it's quite astonishing.
Massive cliche, but it truly is a great time to be a Brighton fan - and yes, I remember the tonking we got from Arsenal, back in our first match in the 1st Div.
That really was 'men v boys'....and just look at what we're capable of now.
I love it. :)

For me the biggest 'if' moment this season is GP leaving. If he doesn't leave to Chelsea, where would we be now? Probably doing quite well (and us all probably pretty chuffed with that), but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be 6th on the points we're on, with the amount of goals we've scored, with the level of scintillating football we're now seeing. Who knows re Cup SF but you get my drift. Stop fretting about a few decisions that haven't gone our way! 😬
