Advice on leaving Wembley

We went to the WWE at Wembley last friday and the traffic getting to Wembley was Horrendous due to roadworks on the north circular. Took an hour to get the final 8 miles to Wembley and this was just for an Arena event. I'd avoid driving again thats for sure.

When I went to the England Scotland game many years ago they channelled all the scots fans via Wembley stadium station which is on a main line into Marylebone.

Unfortunately I tried went that way and found it somewhat worrying
