It would depend on how he said it.
If he said our home form has won us promotion, well that would be something of a factor, yes. If he said we only won the games because of Withdean, well we all know that to be total arse, as we've had seasons when we could barely scrape together a point at home. Besides, most League One clubs are hardly in the position to complain about the Withdean facilities anyway, so it makes little difference to them as long as the pitch is fine.

Durham also mentioned about the PFA awards. He couldn't believe SCC have 5 players in there. 'Brighton romped the league, how they got 5 in, I don't know'

Yeah I heard it. To be fair it did sound like the Saints fan had fallen off the back of a tractor. He put our success down to the fact that nobody like playing at Withdean ? Durham & Gough did laugh him off air and Durham had earlier said that it was a joke that only 3 Albion players got in League One side when we had walked the league all season.

its hard to judge how other teams players perform over a season but i was suprised to see Harding and Wright-Phillips in the line up , fair enough Pilkington and Makail-Smith but the glaringly obvious miss was Hoskins of Bristol Rovers imo , bit suprised not to see Painter in the mix , there cant be many that have played the minutes he has this season

That stains fan not only blamed the Withdean grass, he also said that not one of our players would get in stains team. Both Durham and Goughy gave him what for. There was loads of them on the email, and Durham actually told the stains fans that they are arrogant and thought they were too big for this league. He wholeheartedly congratulated Brighton's team and fantastic support. Well worth listening to, just for the smile.

Before this season Withdean didn't help us a lot for several years, must be something to do with the relief of leaving there.

Arrogant? Stains arrogant? Never heard so much twaddle in my life, they keep signing up to NSC telling us they aren't... how could we not believe them? They WON the league not us... and our pitch sucks, and we're a small club, and we'll struggle next season, and we have to keep up with them, well it was obvious wasn't it?
